Last night we fêted the VIP launch of the Sunglass Hut Floating Store for 2012. Upon arrival at Man ‘O’ War steps, guests were delighted to find a boat ferrying them to the store, which was literally floating out at sea within Sydney Harbour.
Once boarding the store, guests were greeted with champagne, cocktails and killer frames – including exclusives from Dolce & Gabbana, Tiffany & Co. and Tory Burch.
Fashion teams from Harpers Bazaar, Grazia, Russh, Marie Claire and more rubbed shoulders with local celeb’s including Tom Wiliams and Angus Stone, not to mention blog-stars Margaret Zhang (Shine By Three), Liam McKesser (Front Row Suit), Stephanie Kramer (Watermelon Crush) and oh-so-many more.
Whilst the cocktails and conversation flowed, the party soon stood to a standstill when our gorgeous guest of honor, Georgia May Jagger (with boyfriend Josh McLellen in tow), arrived in true style via a chic wooden speed boat. Wearing a jaw-dropping silver Sass & Bide gown (in true fitting with the metallic theme), Georgia May played up for the camera’s and mingled with guests before giving a gracious speech just prior to an amazing set of fireworks smack bang in front of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
With a few more cheeky cocktails and some delicious desert canapés, the night sadly drew to a close but not without guests taking away a gift card to use on their choice of sunglasses at the Floating Store. Our prediction for the hot ticket frames this year? Dolce & Gabbana’s fantastic baroque collection without a doubt.
The Floating Store is open to the public from 10am this morning at Darling Harbour and don’t forget to head down to meet the gorgeous Ms Jagger between 6pm – 7pm this evening. Truly breathtaking.
